Role: Full management of all backend related operations, mainly encompassing inventory management, logistics, optimization of day to day operations in Customer support & Marketing departments, COGS optimisation & other automation projects.

Core Job Responsibilities
- Fully in charge of managing the entire logistics operations of the business. This includes accurate demand forecasting & purchase planning to ensure inventory levels are optimal, managing day to day relationship with our 3PL and optimising fulfillment costs & monitoring KPIs including fulfillment accuracy, shipping times and returns rate.
- Identify areas of improvement within our business operations and fully execute strategic initiatives like new tool implementations, process automation, and other efficiency improvements
- Optimise customer service operations, including improving response time targets, reducing return rates & improving overall customer retention through improved support processes.
- Create and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all business departments, including but not limited to inventory forecasting, inbound & outbound shipments, customer support & subscription management, agency/vendor management etc.
- This role requires a deep understanding of D2C e-commerce, preferably coming from a subscription brand background. You need to demonstrate ROI-focused thinking and be able to entirely own projects/initiatives that optimise the daily operations of the business.
Additional Functions
- Act as a creative thought leader and providing strategic insights and recommendations to the Founder
- Lead international expansion operations including researching and selecting optimal 3PL partners and suppliers in new markets & handle relevant compliance
- Lead supplier/vendor negotiations to reduce COGS and software costs
- Implement an inventory management system + manage future B2B fulfilment operations
- Assist with budget/personnel planning of new growth/marketing initiatives
- Stay up to date with latest technology/tools that can optimise daily business functions
Core Skills
- End-to-end supply chain management (forecasting, purchasing, inventory optimization & 3PL relationship management)
- Process optimization and automation expertise
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving
- Vendor negotiation and relationship management
- Strategic planning and execution of new tools & processes (Writing SOPs)
- Cross department communication (especially with marketing and customer support)
- Understanding of the dynamics of a subscription e-commerce business is a plus
- Professional relationship building and effective communication skills
- ERP/WMS system expertise
Qualifications
- 2+ Years Experience managing the full backend operations for an ecommerce brand (Preferably a health/supplement D2C Brand, but not a requirement)
- Experience implementing new processes & tools to optimise the workflow of different departments in an ecommerce organization
- Analytical and data driven + a creative problem solver
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Attention to detail and accuracy + strong organisational, communication and management skills
- Advanced Excel Skills
